High-purity liquid carbonate supplement for marine water
Carbonates (NaHCO3), essential for calcium synthesis by corals and benthic fauna, help maintain ideal carbonate hardness (dKH) in marine aquariums. In natural marine water, the optimal value is between 7 and 8°dKH, which should be maintained constant to promote growth and skeletal development of scleractinians.
Dosage
10 mL per 100 L of water increases the carbonate level by approximately 1°dKH.
Directions for use
• Preferably use a dosing pump for precise dosing.
• Shake the bottle well before use.
• Do not increase carbonate hardness by more than 2°dKH in 24 hours to avoid biochemical imbalances.
• Monitor the carbonate level regularly, maintaining it stable between 7 and 8°dKH.
For optimal water stability, it is recommended to maintain:
• Density: 35 ‰ (ppt)
• Calcium: 420–450 mg/L
• Magnesium: 1300–1400 mg/L
It is recommended to administer carbonate, calcium, and magnesium solutions at least one hour apart.
